My Secret Shame
I have a confession to make, I have a secret shame. Once a month I get a bill from Telstra. Today I received another one of those bills. Today however was different. The moment I saw the envelope sitting in the bottom of my letter box I was reminded of an article I read on Zdnet.com.au earlier this week.
Sol Trujilo has left Telstra, more than a month before his was supposed to end, 30 June. It’s hardly surprising that there’s been no objections from anyone at all. Sol stands for everything that I hate, and most other Australian’s hate about Telstra. He embodies the arrogance and the incompetence I’ve found Telstra to exhibit through almost all of my dealings with them. The arrogance of this cowboy and his comrades cost Telstra their chance to build the original national broadband network. Their arrogance is why their new billing system has been such a debacle.
Let’s all hope Telstra’s new CEO, David Thodey, is less obstructionist and more forward thinking.
